Learn to Play Ice Hockey (Ages 5-15)

We offer a Learn to Play Hockey class devoted to enhancing hockey skills needed to advance players into youth ice hockey. Our philosophy is to allow players to develop their hockey skills while growing their love for the game in smaller subgroups based on ability. Each week players will work on skating skills, puck skills, and partake in some type of game keeping them coming back for more. Participants are required to start in Learn to Skate and be able to skate around ice easily without falling and should be able to stop. If a player is not ready you could be asked to return to LTS for more seasoning. After completion of a few LTP sessions, new hockey players under the age of 8-years old can move to the Bulls Mites in the Spring and/or Fall/Winter to Huntsmen Mites.

Players aged 9 to 16 can play in the Spring, Youth Spring League or Bulls, and in Fall/Winter Huntsmen Developmental or Huntsmen Youth Travel. We offer Girls’ hockey Ages 9 to 18 in Spring the Chester County Cannons Girls & PA Huntsmen Girls in the Fall/Winter.

Beginner Hockey Skating School (Ages 5-11) (NEW)

Starting in March, our NEW BHSS Class will run on Thursday and features a 45-minute lesson designed to make you a stronger, more confident skater while preparing you for Learn to Play. This class is also a great opportunity for skaters currently enrolled in LTP or any Learn to Skate program to add a second weekly session and accelerate their progress to playing hockey. Skating is the foundation of hockey—if you can’t skate, you can’t play—and this class is built to strengthen that foundation

Fast Track to Hockey

This program is a perfect combination of Learn to Skate & Learn to Play classes to help your child build a solid foundation and quickly progress to the great sport of ice hockey. This is for children ages 6 to 12 NOT Yet in Learn to Play. Fast Track 2027 –Starts January 2 runs to April 17, 16-week program runs Friday Nights & Saturday Mornings. Skater will participate in LTS Session 3 on both Friday & Saturday, then Session 2 LTS Friday & Session 2 LTP on Saturday. Includes equipment, see LTP web page for details
