LEARN TO SKATE!

Have fun while learning the fundamentals of ice skating!  No previous skating experience is required in this small group classes setting. All classes have a 25 minute group lesson and a 25 minute supervised practice. (except the Thursday .5 Spring)  Students may for an extra price bring one adult Parent/Guardian on ice ONLY during their 25 min. practice session for a fee.  No siblings or other coaches allowed in place of parent!

HELMET RULE:  All children aged 7 and under are REQUIRED to wear a bike or hockey helmet.  We do not loan helmets.  We highly recommend skaters wear helmets and if they choose wrist guards, knee or elbow pads.  You can purchase a hockey helmet in the rink pro shop.

Check out this video on the proper way to tie ice skates

6 Helpful Tips

1. All kids should begin in figure skates for proper learning, all our hockey players here began this way.

2. We do not offer half sizes on full sizes, (we have little kids 8 to adult 13).

3. Tie your skates tight, real tight.

4. If you can’t walk you can’t skate, fix your skates, get a different size or model

5. New skaters should walk around, jump in place even run a bit off the ice in their skates.  If ankles bent, straighten your ankles it can be done.

6. Did you remember a helmet? Its required for Learn to Skate for skaters ages 7 and under! It’s HIGHLY recommended for others
