LEARN TO SKATE!

Have fun while learning the fundamentals of ice skating!  No previous skating experience is required. Classes, unless otherwise noted, consist of a 25-minute group lesson and a 25-minute supervised practice.  Students may bring one experienced Adult Parent/Guardian on ice ONLY during their 25-minute practice for a small fee.  No siblings or other coaches instead of parents!

HELMET RULE: All children aged 7 and under are REQUIRED to wear a bike or hockey helmet. We don’t loan helmets; skate rentals are included.  Purchase a helmet in the pro shop.

Starting in March on Thursday Nights our LTS Class runs a 45-minute Lesson, no extra practice. Open to ages 4 to adult.

Adult Learn to Skate

Starting in March on Saturday mornings is Adult ONLY Learn to skate, each class is 45min of instruction.

45-minute lesson with no extra practice time.  Open to Adults & Late Teens – Ages 15 & older

6 Helpful Tips

1. All kids should begin in figure skates for proper learning, all our hockey players here began this way.

2. We do not offer half sizes on full sizes, (we have little kids 8 to adult 13).

3. Tie your skates tight, real tight.

4. If you can’t walk you can’t skate, fix your skates, get a different size or model

5. New skaters should walk around, jump in place even run a bit off the ice in their skates.  If ankles bent, straighten your ankles it can be done.

6. Did you remember a helmet? Its required for Learn to Skate for skaters ages 7 and under! It’s HIGHLY recommended for others

Fast Track to Hockey Program! 2026

This program is a perfect combination of Learn to Skate and Learn to Play classes to help your child build a solid foundation and quickly progress to the great sport of ice hockey. 

Fast Track 2026 Round 1

Program Details:

Duration: 15 weeks on Saturdays, runs January 4th to April 19th

  • Step 1 – 4 Weeks of Learn to Skate – Building fundamental skating skills.

Dates: January 3, 10, 17 , 24   Time :10:45am to 11:35am

  • Step 2 – 3 Weeks of Learn to Play – Introducing the basics of hockey & hockey skating.

Dates: January 31, February 7, 14    Time :11:40am to 12:30pm

  • Step 3 – 8 Weeks of Learn to Play Hockey – Learning hockey fundamentals

Dates: February 21, 28, Mar – x, 14, 21, 28, April 4, 11, 18  Time :11:40am to 12:30pm

 

  • Included Equipment: On January 31st, Each player will receive an LTP jersey, Hockey helmet, gloves, stick, elbow pads, and shin guards. Please arrive 45 mins early that day and go to the pro shop!
  • Early Enrollment Bonus: This program includes early enrollment in Session 4 of Learn to Play. Session 4 is 8 weeks & begins February 22nd.
  • Full player equipment will be required for each player, and will need to purchased separately before Feb 21 the following – Hockey Socks, Shoulder Pads, Hockey Pants, Athletic supporter, Mouthguard, Neck Guard & Hockey Bag is recommended.  All this and more can be purchas4ed in our in rink pro shop, US Hockey Supply. https://ushockeysupply.com/    Rental skates can be used for these classes, but skates will eventually be needed to be purchased.

FAST TRACK ROUND 2 2026

The Fast Track to Hockey Program is open to skaters who are eager to transition into hockey. With the right guidance, they’ll be game-ready in no time!

Fast Track to Hockey is a perfect combination of Learn to Skate and Learn to Play classes to help your child build a solid foundation and quickly progress to the great sport of ice hockey!

 

Program Details:

Duration: 12 total weeks from May 9th to July 24th

  • Step 1 – 4 Weeks of Learn to Skate in Session 5 on Saturdays– Building fundamental skating skills.

Dates: May 9, May 16, May 30, June 6

  • Step 2 – 3 Weeks of Learn to Play in Session 5 on Saturday – Introducing the basics of hockey & hockey skating.

Saturday Time :11:40am to 12:30pm

Dates: June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27

  • Step 3 – 4 Weeks total of Learn to Play Hockey Session 6 on Fridays– Learning hockey fundamentals

Friday’s Time :7:15pm -8:15pm

Dates:   June 26, July 10, July 17, July 24

  • Included Equipment: On May 9th, Each player will receive an LTP jersey, Hockey helmet, gloves, stick, elbow pads, and shin guards. Please arrive 45 mins early that day and go to the pro shop! No sticks on the ice during Learn to Skate.
