Learn to Play Ice Hockey

Ages 5-14

We offer a Learn to Play Hockey class that is devoted to enhancing the hockey skills needed to advance players into youth ice hockey. Our philosophy is to allow players to develop their hockey skills while growing their love for the game.  Every week the players will work on skating skills, puck skills, and partake in some type of game to keep them coming back for more.  All participants are required to start in Learn to Skate and be able to skate around ice easily without falling, they must be able to stop, and move backwards. If a player is not ready you could be asked to return to LTS for more seasoning. After completion of LTP new hockey players under 8 years old can move on to Bulls Mites in the Spring or the Dyna-Mites. Players 9 to 14 can play Youth Spring League or Kings Developmental in the Winter.

Learn to Play Ice Hockey Sessions

Required Equipment: Hockey helmet with cage, elbow pads, gloves, cup/pelvic protector, hockey shin pads, ice hockey stick, shoulder pads and hockey pants. Rental skates are provided free of charge for those who need them. See the US Hockey Supply Pro Shop for great deals on equipment.
