|Power Play welcomes you to join us at one of our many public skating sessions starting September 2nd. Whether you are skating for the first time or working on your skills, Power Play provides a fun, safe environment to get out on the ice.|
|To customers of public skating:
**All public events may have additions and cancellations please check website for updates. Closed 2013: Sept. 2nd, Nov. 28th, Dec. 25th, and 2014: Apr. 20th May 11th, May 25th, July 4th
**Some public skating will have an ice resurfacing half way through the ice time, you can return to skating after the Zamboni leaves the ice (Approx 10mins).
**Skaters skate at their own risk; bike helmets are recommended for new skaters and children under 7 years of age.
**Parents are required to stay with their children during the session for adult supervision whether or not the parent is skating.
**Parents please do not carry your children on the ice. You can hold them up but don’t carry them.
**Cones or commercially made or home-made ”Walkers” and any other skating assistance devises are not allowed on the ice during public skating per our insurance provider.
**Birthday parties are held during public skating, so you may have some children with a party at the skate on some days
**On Saturday’s the first 30mins of Public skate will have on one end of the ice blocked off for the final part of our Learn to Skate, there will be barriers separating them from the public. After 30mins the barriers will be removed.
**Special Olympics comes in January and February to public skate with “volunteer trainers”, the Special Olymics has there own “walkers” that they use because they are covered under their insurance policy.
